Creating bucket lists should not be just for adults. Children love doing activities and working through lists so combined combine these and make a bucket list. This will give your child a sense of achievement and it will give them something to look forward to.
Here are 20 things for your child to do before he/she turns 10:
- Play in a pile of leaves
- Jump in rainy day puddles
- Have a pillow fight
- Catch tadpoles
- Swing as high as you can on a swing
- Climb a tree
- Plant a tree
- Dress up as your favorite character
- Put on mom’s lipstick
- Ride on a merry go round
- Play sevens with a tennis ball
- Eat a chocolate cake with both hands
- Squash mud between your toes
- Play follow the leader or `wolfie wolfie what’s the time’
- Roll down a grassy slope
- Learn to blow bubbles with bubble gum
- Play hide and seek
- Lick the baking bowl out with both hands
- Dance with abandon to crazy or beautiful music
- Spin around on a swing till you are dizzy
In this day of technology and screens it is so important that our children are exposed the world through their senses. We know about the visual, auditory and tactile senses, but the sense of movement and gross motor activity is just as important. These games bring back the real feel and will enrich your child’s sensory world of learning.
