There are certain “brain foods” that can help with your child’s brain development. These foods can help improve brain function, memory, and concentration. Our brains are remarkable, they are in fact a very hungry organ.

Try incorporating these foods into your child’s diet:
1. Oily fish (eg. salmon, tuna, sardines)

2. Oats
Oats are a great energy source that fuels the brain.

3. Berries (eg. Blueberries)
Blueberries are packed with antioxidants that protect brain-cell membranes from damage.
The antioxidants help increase plasticity, which helps brain cells form new connections, boosting learning and memory.
4. Dark chocolate
Dark chocolate is also high in antioxidants which may increase blood flow to the brain. Increased blood flow may help boost memory, improve attention span, increase reaction time, and improve problem-solving skills.
5. Avocado
Avo’s are an excellent source of good fats (unsaturated fats). This may lower the risk of cognitive decline.
6. Eggs
Eggs are a rich source of protein, and their yolks contain choline, which is an important nutrient for memory development.
