Trying to sit down and read a book with a busy toddler can always be a challenge especially when your toddler uses books as speed bumps for his toys cars.

So when I decided to sit down and read the Jack and the Beanstalk pop-up book I was pleasantly surprised. Jake my 21 month old busy boy sat on my lap and was surprisingly engaged. He loved to pull out the tabs and see the picture change.  I loved how it captivated his little mind.

It’s so much easier to read with a toddler when they are entertained by a book and have fun participating. He was so excited when he pulled out the pop-up with his own fingers and the giant appeared – what a great fine motor activity!
