Let’s face it moms! Planning your child’s party can be quite overwhelming. Deciding the date, where to have it, who to invite, what to do and the big question – “How much is it going to cost?”

If you are stressing about the cost, there are plenty of ways to keep the costs down. Don’t fret, take a look at these tips below. It may just make your life a little easier leading up to the party and will certainly keep your costs down.

TIP 1 – Have the party at home:

Seriously consider doing your party at your home. Having a party at a party venue is an added cost you may not need to incur if you have a garden at home and if you have the space. If not, maybe granny and grandad have a beautiful garden you could use! We all know how they love to spoil their grandkids.

You will save on exorbitant venue hire costs and if you are worried about what to do with the children, call in the Clamber Club Party Entertainers who will keep them active and engaged during the party. This also means that you and all the moms can sit back and relax with that glass of champagne while the kids have loads of fun!

Tip 2 – Weekday vs Weekend – cost of the venue hire:

Deciding when to have your party can definitely impact your costs. If you do decide to hire a party venue for the birthday, they charge a lot more to hire it out on the weekend compared to a weekday. Having a weekday party is a lot more inexpensive as the party venues normally offer a discounted rate for a weekday. And the great news is – Clamber Club can be there for your party entertainment needs – anytime of the week!

Tip 3 – Weekday vs Weekend – Keeping the guest list down:

Also something to keep in mind is that having a party during the week can impact the number of guests you have. During the week, moms will be less inclined to bring along older siblings as they probably have extra murals in the afternoons, and dads will be at work. If you decide to have it on a Saturday or Sunday, chances are higher that siblings and dads may come along. So this means you have more people to cater for food and drinks wise, and you will also need to make more party packs for the extra children. You may also need a bigger venue if your house is not big enough so this means costly venue hire on the weekend again!

Tip 4 – Party entertainment – less is more!

Every mom, who is panning a party wants her child to have the best birthday and wants to ensure every child that attends the birthday has an absolute blast, so you need to consider which type of entertainment you want.

This is where parents tend to overdo it and spend unnecessarily. You do not need to have a jumping castle, a face painter, a balloon sculptor, a magic show, pony rides, a carousel etc etc etc! You only need 1 or 2 things and if you choose wisely you may only need 1. Clamber Club provides such amazing entertainment for the kids of all ages, you will find, that having a jumping castle there is a waste as it does not even get used by majority of the children in my experience. They will be having so much fun with the Clamber Club entertainers they won’t need to be kept busy with anything else. If you do decide to have more than one activity I would suggest a show OR Clamber Club combined with a face painter OR a balloon sculptor. But even just having Clamber Club on its own can really keep the children fully entertained. So this means, one payment for entertainment and your costs are kept to a minimum.

Tip 5 – Combining your party with another child – the latest trend:

If you have a friend or family member who has a child the same age and who have birthdays close together, consider doing a joint birthday party. Perhaps the children attend the same school or are even in the same class and you will both be inviting almost the same people to the party. Suggest to the other mom that you combine parties and do it together to keep down the costs. You can share the cost of the venue, if you hire one, share the cost of the food and drinks, and of course, share the cost of the birthday activity you choose.

Tip 6 – Birthday Ring at school:

Lastly to avoid any extra birthday party costs – check with your child’s school if you can have the birthday ring at school. This will save you on venue hire, food drinks for guests and if you think about it, no clean up of the mess afterwards! ? If you are still wanting to have entertainment at your child’s birthday ring, Clamber Club can also do entertainment at your child’s school. This is something that will make your little ones birthday extra special.

Happy planning!!
