Sensory play is crucial for toddlers, as it provides them with opportunities to actively use their senses as they explore their world. Sensory play is important for a toddler’s brain development. There are many benefits of sensory play. Such as:

  1. Sensory play encourages children to explore and investigate.
  2. Sensory activities allow children to refine their thresholds for different sensory information.
  3. Children can learn to block out noise that is not important and focus on the play that is occurring.
  4. Sensory play can assist the child with touching, smelling, and playing with the texture in an environment with little expectation.
  5. It helps build nerve connections in the brain.
  6. Encourages development of motor skills.
  7. It supports language development.
  8. It encourages problem solving.
